Interview / 12 June 2026
The everyday roots of TR.EE
Rolling Stone UK connects the new EP with nature, relationships and the details of making music.
Joseph Kocharian asks JAY B how his sound has changed since Archive 1: [Road Runner] and how the imagery of trees and relationships shaped TR.EE. Hobbies and time outdoors become part of the creative conversation.
For a closer listen, pair this interview with Layback and the rest of the EP. It gives fans a route into the record’s themes through the artist’s own explanations, rather than a track-by-track verdict.
